has anyone been to Nikkos lately? (greek in long branch)

I haven't been here in ages but I seem to be craving some greek. I know there are some better Greek spots but this is kind of close to me.

Any good recommendations on what to get?

Get takeout there nearly every week. Love all of their seafood, especially the grilled octopus. Grilled whole fish is a specialty of theirs. For a group a combo of 3 or 4 of their dips with some pitas are always a treat. Meatballs with cumin and tomato sauce appetizer. Grilled whole peppers stuffed with feta. Crabcakes, smelts & calamari...

I went last night....it was just OK. I think the bread and olives were the highlight if my meal lol

My wife had a snapper that was decent but we are kind of spoiled when it comes to snappers. If you like fish, head to Kunya Siam in Atlantic Highlands and try their snapper. It is awesome! Obviously it is a much different style/preparation but trust me on this, it is a winner.

Avgolemono soup is very good there, as are most things.

And where are these better Greek places??

Jay, one of the owners reminds me of Mike Rowe...
