Dinner in the Midtown/Georgia Tech area

Coming into town later this week for business and looking for a good place to eat dinner in that area. My hotel is in that area so that is why I am picking it. Any suggestions?

  1. The Spence, Ecco, Empire State South.

    1. On 14th Street at Georgia Tech is a new place that I really enjoyed and am looking forward to trying again called Better Half. The AJC recently gave them a glowing review. I believe they just got their liquor license.

      1. If you need something within walking distance, I would focus on Empire State South or Ecco. I'm not saying those are the best bites in Atlanta but they offer the best chance for a high quality meal. If you want a beer, go by Cypress street. The food there leaves a lot to be desired, but the beer list is good. The aforementioned ESS offers the best cocktails in the area. Meanwhile, if you're looking for something more casual, Cafe Agora is awesome & inexpensive. It's a tiny space and not glamorous, but extremely consistent and tasty.

        1. I would also recommend ESS for a simple, cheap and wonderful breakfast -- chicken biscuit and a coffee.
