Asheville help needed ASAP

My husband has a big group meeting up in Asheville in May. He thought he had a reservation at the Admiral, but they backed out today. He needs room for about 23 people, and he wants great food (this is ultra-important). The Curate has already said no. I've never been to Asheville (would love to, but not with a group of economists - no offense bbqme) so I don't have any real info on this. Can someone suggest a place that might work for him - room for that many + great food? Thanks very very much in advance.

  1. I believe Cucina 24 has a private room that might work... There's also a smaller space in the back of Bouchon, but it might be too small. Man, 23 is a lot...

    1. A good friend raves about Table and Limones...
Perhaps someone with recent experience could comment on the menus and the capacity?

      1. Doesn't Rezaz have a private room?

        1. Thanks SO much everyone. I ended up calling Cucina24 and they're holding the private room for him that night. I really appreciate the quick and very helpful and thoughtful responses. I owe you each a drink!

          ... wait - my husband owes you each a drink ; )

I'll accept one from each of you!

Glad this worked out so quickly.

I'll tell him you're all part of the services rendered and it will be taken care of ; )

He's just talked to the manager and seems to be very happy about how it worked out. The business with the Admiral telling him he had the place and then backing out a week or so later was pretty uncool, if you ask me.

I'm glad y'all found something that will work, but yeah, that's unfortunate regarding The Admiral. And unlike them. Enjoy Cucina 24 though.

I don't think The Admiral has a private room...given the size of his group and the size and atmosphere of The Admiral the change in venues may have been for the best. I love the place, but from what I recall about the space I don't think it would suit a group of that size.

no kidding. Not only would 23 people take up every space in the restuarant except for the booths, I just can't imagine 23 dishes coming out of the kitchen at approximately the same time.

I would assume someone was trying to be accomodating and then realized their folly.

They had said they'd close the place for his party. But yes, trying to get that many dishes out at the same time - hard to imagine in a place that size.
