Will be there on a Sunday and Monday in early may. Good food is important but we also enjoy old world charm. It helps if the owners are kind.
Thanks.

I think Al Paradiso, near Rialto, fits your description but not sure about the Sunday and Monday hours.

Vini da Gigio is open on Sunday night, and Paolo is a dear. Good fish, lamb, and duck -- I don't think you can go wrong there.

I love alla Rampa on the wide and (usually) peaceful via Garabaldi.

I love Sunday lunch at Anice Stellato in Venice. Very charming place, and very nice owners and staff.
