  1. The cookery has it as a special sometimes. Maybe call and ask?

    1. this may be a silly question, but is pizza rustica meant to be eaten warm or cold?

      1. It's delicious either way! Gotta get it soon! :-)

        1. My house! I have never bought one. It must be made on Good Friday, and not eaten until Easter Saturday...at least that's the way it was for me growing up! Sorry I can't help!

Do you have a recipe you can share? I don't have my grandmas... I found one on the times website that looks pretty amazing but definitely is more elaborate than what I remember..

Sure. I've posted about it previously in home cooking:

Aside from the pie crust, most of making Pizza Rustica is chopping up the meats and cheeses. Not a big deal. If you're afraid of pie crust, you can always buy some at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.

Yes that is the recipe I found! I have to try it. So where can I get all those meats in Westchester? Do you buy chunks and cube them yourself? I'm going to be away for easter but I'm going to give this a try for mother's day!

Yes, I cut all the meats up. You can get the ingredients at any Italian Deli in Westchester. I don't know what part of Westchester you're in, but any good Italian deli should have the ingredients. None is difficult to fine.

These are just a few suggestions.

                I agree 100%!

              2. I got an email from Tarry Market in Port Chester saying that they were going to carry it for Easter.

Tarry Market would be a good choice. (Guessing $20 - $25 range).
