Dinner and live jazz in Jersey City?

Heading into Jersey City friday night to stay with friends. Is there any place where we can have dinner and listen to live jazz? Thanks!

  1. Not in Jersey City but only about 20-30 minutes away in Montclair NJ is Trumpets Jazz Club and Restaurant.

I cannot attest to the food, I've only been for drinks but it's an interesting place. Montlcair has many good food options if you wanted to dine elsewhere and walk over. It's a very nice town.

That's all I have to offer.

Go to Trumpets but only for the music. :-)

    2. Not that I know of. Check out Liberty House on Zapp Drive, I am almost positive they do from time to time. Great view, lil pricey.
Across the highway to Hoboken you may find some at Frankie and Johnnys.

By Frankie and Johnny's do you mean Dino and Harry's?

Liberty House has a Jazz Brunch on Sundays, but I don't know about dinner.

          1. Just saw this now. You might stil have time to catch "gypsy jazz" with Manouche Bag (tenor saxophonist, flute Bryan Bennghove plays NYC lots)at Madame Claude Cafe. CALL first as always sold out!
