  1. Few? G&B is prob best coffee in this part of LA right now and plenty of people go.

GGET barista's aren't as good as G&B but then again a lot of the best baristas in LA are working at G&B now so there's that.

One thing G&B doesn't do is food and a more expanded pastry program but then again there's the entire Grand Central market for it.

    1. It's not quite as good, because they don't have the same ice machine as they do at G&B. But very close. And they have better baked goods. The sweet potato pie with honey creme fraiche is spectacular.

      1. I have been to go get em tiger about 5 times now... i love the coffee, and love the baked goods... but am i the only one that would prefer to wait in a line and know exactly who's turn it is to order? It's just frustrating when I want to stop by on my way to work, I know I only have a limited amount of time to waste before I'm officially late, and I can't take the risk of people walking in after me, ordering before me. SO far I don't think that's happened... but yeah, I'm just not feeling this bar set up for coffee. It's awkward and confusing for me so early in the morning. I don't want to have to ask everyone around me if they've already ordered, b/c that's what I have been doing b/c i just can't tell if they're waiting for their order or need to order. And I don't want to be rude and order in front of someone else who has been waiting. Just wondering if anyone else found it as unpleasant as I do?

        1. re: Clyde

i like it because i hate lines.

and usually i get up front in a real jiffy.

          so for me it works.

but that apples to the joint in dtla.

        2. Its almost as good, not quite, but has much better food options. One of the best coffees in LA.

          1. Coffee is good but their pastry sucks, seems like it's made by somebody's friend who just learned to bake. Liked it better when they were bringing in outside pastry.
