Know any Montreal restaurants with a focus on local/fresh/organic ingredients?

Don't want a health food/hippie-type spot - just some good French fare where the focus is not foie gras, butter, creme, etc. Any ideas?

      chez l'epicier
      la chronique

all are relatively upmarket, but thoroughly worth it...doing the 'market-fusion/modern-quebecois/gourmet' thing that i so adore.

Don't forget Brunoise, they use a lot of Daignault organic veggies

      how about these

(from my personal resto list i am compiling)

Sprite Lounge 1205 Ontario East considered best vegetarian in Montreal by some. large array of vegetarian delights. Techno music and rustic interior. Reservations are needed Sun-Wed 6pm-10pm Thurs 6pm-11pm Fri-Sat 6pm-12pm limited hours

there is a Marche Vegetarian place in Les Halles de Gare.... the Central Train Station underground on
de la Gauchtiere. it is right on the edge of the open area of the station. they may have organics also.

That "Sprite" lounge is actually "Spirit lounge." Its a very odd place, not for the faint-of-heart.

The Spirit Lounge was one of the "best ever" dining experiences i have had. It is truly one of a kind. The food is unique and delicious. I wish it was not 8 hours away.
