And where are you staying? Eating at taco el gordo (a personal favorite) is great if you are staying at Wynncore. Mandalay Bay is another question, no matter how much you like walking.

Thought the same about LOS. Walking from Mandalay is a hike.

As others have implied, it would help a lot if we knew where you were staying.

Thanks a lot, all, but I won't know where I'm staying until about a week before leaving. We're not into big fancy meals. I'll check back in with this board when I know where I'm staying in about a month! Thanks a million!

ISO inexpensive best good food for first trip to Vegas! I'm staying at Caesar's Palace! Inexpensive meaning $30 or less for dinner; $20 for lunch. We're not big drinkers. Recs appreciated. Thanks!

We're going next week and our plan is buffets at night and inexpensive restaurants for lunch. Here's part of our list:

                Capriotti's Sandwich Shop
Combo of $1.99 foot long and Noble Roman Pizza
                Ellis Island Café

I have to add Lotus of Siam on my list now because my sister-in-law told us several times and we haven't been there yet.

I assume you mean Ellis Island Casino and not Cafe. If you are going there for the steak special and/or the bbq, you will need to sign up for their players card (you also get $10 in free play) and swipe the card at a kiosk for the voucher for the steak special or the bbq.

Milos in the Cosmopolitan has an excellent fixed price lunch for $23.
I'm sure you can eat for $30 at Lotus of Siam (I'm assuming you mean $20 and $30 per person).

Our new favorite is Fat Choy in the Eureka Casino (just up the street from Lotus of Siam), tiny place, terrific food!
