Advice on Nagazumi, 511 Kobe Beef, and Grilled Fish Breakfasts, please
Greetings Tokyo hounds!
First time poster on this board, but I've enjoyed reading your posts for quite a while. I visit Tokyo a couple of times per year and this trip (next month) I was hoping to try some new places.
For its style -- kappo -- how do you find Nagazumi? I will already be going to more formal kaiseki places, like ishikawa where I will eat at the counter--- how would nagazumi compare?
511 -- for kobe beef. If I were to go here, would you recommend going for lunch where you can order the heath baked kobe or is the kaiseki dinner the thing to do?
In my research I saw that Robb S mentioned a movement towards heirloom pork. Any places to try?
On the breakfast front, I love the grilled fish bento box served at the Shangri La hotel. Any places to get something similar without the high price? Somewhere around Ginza would be great but if nothing comes to mind perhaps a place at Tsukiji?
