Roma-Firenze-Venezio-- seeking fine dining & fun stuff-- passionate about food!
We are traveling for 3 weeks, beginning with 3 nights in Rome, a rented house outside of Cortona for a week, 2 nights in Monterroso del Mare, 3 nights in Florence, 3 nights in Venice and a night in Verona. Welcoming all suggestions for special occasion places in each city as well as just delicious local cuisine, especially seafood! I enjoyed Agata e Romeo 12 years ago-- is it still special and delicious?

I read the recent thread prior to my posting and did get some ideas and helpful suggestions, but nothing intriguing to my mind. Perhaps I need to supply more information to receive a more specific response. I was not crazy about Piperno on my trip 10 years ago but loved Agata e Romeo. We are passionate about food but not particularly interested in trendy cooking or molecular gastronomy. Has anyone been to and enjoyed Ad Hoc in Rome? I've read about so many celebrated restaurants in Florence but remember Trattoria 4 Leone... and would like to enjoy one upscale special dinner there. Any suggestions about dining in Cinque Terre? Thanks to everyone who offers their experience and suggestions!
