Digestivo store in Brooklyn?

I saw on Melissa Clark's Twitter feed that someone is petitioning to open a specialty liquor store in Park Slope that sells digestifs and aperitifs.  It reminded me once again that I'm in the market for a bottle of Borsci San Marzano and haven't been able to find it in any stores or online.  Does anyone know where I could buy it? The store sounds like a great idea, as I'd love a place to stock up on my favorite Amari instead of having to ask people to bring me bottles when they're in Italy.

  1. Please post back to list if you find it. Chambers Street Wines has a decent selection of digestifs but I'd say it's no more than 20 and Borsci is not one of them. Why do they need a petition to open it? Not enough importers?

    1. Astor has had it; Mt Carmel Wine in the Bronx (Arthur Ave) has had it. It's now owned and made by Distilleria Caffo, the Calabria-based producer of what I think is the finest of all amari, Vecchio Amaro del Capo.

I second Mt. Carmel--they have practically a whole wall of amari.
