Weber Jumbo Joe at Target

For any Weber fans out there, I was surprised to see a Jumbo Joe at Target the other day. It was the Danforth and Vic Park location, $75 in the seasonal section. Only other place I've seen them was at Ontario Gas BBQ, which is a bit of a hike for me.

I've got the smokey joe from HD that I use for picnics or for those rare occasions I go to a cottage (and still want charcoal). Jumbo Joe quite bigger...thinking it might fit into my stable of grills.

  1. They hit a sweet spot on the size/portability scale--a real BBQ that travels and/or fits in a small space. Nice product and a good "first" chracoal grill.

    1. Just to let everyone know that this is "normal" retail pricing. I originally thought it was maybe a deal so I searched to find the pricing. Looks like a good product still but I will keep an eye on Target to see when they clear these out at the end of the season :)

Yes, thanks for clarifying. Incidentally, same price as Ontario Gas BBQ.

However, i don't know about the clear out price option. The store I went to just had the one. I asked the clerk if they were getting more in and he made it sound like they re-order when one sells. Could be misinformed, but thought I'd point that out.

Good luck. About the only place I see that sort of deal is at Loblaws/Superstores on no-name gas Qs. As grandgourmet mentioned, branded merch is just-in-time ordered or simply stored till next season. At best, Weber product might get a 10-15% early season discount but never seems to be given away late in the season.

not to be argumentative, but weber genesis s-series grills have occasionally been cleared out--i picked up an s-310 a couple of years back for about $700, down from about $1100. this was from lowes, and i know home depot has done a similar markdown. my particular purchase happened in the off-season (january).

target happens to have a history of aggressive clearance pricing on out of season stock, so i'm guessing that's why hope springs eternal for this item. . .
