  1. The article says that they will have 10 different hand rolls for dine in only, and that cut rolls will be available to-go, and possibly sashimi too. Where did the "blue crab hand rolls only" come from?

      Sure beats me.

      But you passed the test.

      Good reading skills.

    2. That's certainly a different take from a high-end sushi chef. I'll be interested to see if he gives the rolls any unique zing. I'm a big fan of his Nozawa Bar as well as Sugarfish.

      1. for you coachella goers, he's going to be having a pop-up there. Not sure how I feel about hand rolls in the desert...

        1. I am really looking forward to trying this place. In his heyday at Nozawa, his crab handrolls were what we waited for at the end of the meal!

            Exactly.

Npw almost everyone and their grandmama doles out cookie-cutter blue crab hand rolls.

He was the instigator of a spawn of trenchant acolytes.

i like that kiriko will do theirs sans mayo if you ask, and god bless shunji for making his restaurant a mayo-free zone.

What's your problem with mayo ?????????

                  :)

Yeah, I'd prefer no mayo. How's Kiriko's without the dastardly mayo ??????

                  1. re: kevin

i like kiriko's....bigger hunks of crab too

my problem with mayo...rancid taste/jizzy appearance always repulsed me...i don't feel like im missing anything

            1. "so that the warm, loosely packed rice that Nozawa is known for stays warm"

I can safely cross that off the list then.
