Big Pig BBQ, Lynnfield

  • 6

Has anyone used this catering service? They get rave reviews on Yelp and of course on their own site, just looking for one more data point, Chowhound before I commit. Any other recs for this type of service in the North/west of Boston area?

  1. Here is a link about someone looking for bbq catering for south boston. I think since the scene for good bbq is limited in Boston, I can't think that there will be much better up your way.

    1. Huh, never heard of them but it's been a while since I've been in the corporate event business. Not a ton of actual BBQ in that area, but you may also want to look at Blackstrap in Winthrop. They have a retail location so you can try it and see if you like it before committing, and their catering menu is at http://blackstrapbbq.com/catering/

Although, I should ask, are you looking for actual BBQ (cooked low and slow over wood) or are you just looking for a caterer who can do an outdoor event with grilled chicken, burgers, etc?

On site or just roasted pig brought on site? Places will charge you much more to do it on site since they need to dedicate manpower to just one thing.

Thanks everyone, the Big Pig guys seems to have what I want according to their website, just hoping someone out there has personally used them and could give me some feedback

      1. I have been at a few gatherings catered by Tennessee's out of Peabody and the food was fantastic. They also offer a whole pig if that is what you are looking for.
