May 2014 Tuscany-Positano-Capri-Rome

I am going to Italy in May with my husband, 5yr old daughter, and my husband's parents. My husband and I have been to Italy several times (and to these destinations) but have not been for about 6-7 years. We've been planning on going to restaurants we liked last time we went, but things may have changed, and I don't find some of the restaurants on this board. Her are our plans; please let us know if you have updates (closures, chef change for the worse, etc.).
Tuscany: Staying in Castellina in Chianti with side trip to Siena, Castello Brolio, and a couple other places. Plan to visit:
Il Fondaccio pizzeria
La Torre
La Vigne (is this somewhere around Radda? We remember a lovely meal looking out on the vineyards)
May also visit Tre Porte (most are close to or in Castellina to avoid driving after too much wine/limoncello).
We go to Florence for one day and plan for Sostanza
Positano: Da Adolfo, La Pergola, Bruno, and Il Ritrovo (Montepertuso)
Capri: Gelsomina, and a little restaurant in downtown Anacapri with gorgeous blue and white tiles (can't remember the name)
Rome: La Carbonara (lunch), Franchi (lunch after Vatican visit), Sora Lella, Taberna dei Gracchi
Thanks for any input!

  1. Da Adolfo is one of my favorite places on earth. If the kids are hungry and don't want a restaurant meal, the pizza from Covo dei Saraceni is excellent. and very fast.

In Rome, Franchi is great, but can be crowded and chaotic. Romeo, a few blocks away, is a great new addition to the neighborhood. You can have something quick or a proper sit-down meal.
