Dinner in Hollywood -- area around Grauman's...

Taking a group of teenagers to LA and part of our itinerary is to go to Grauman's and do that Hollywood thing around dinner time. We have been scheduled to eat at The Hard Rock, which I think is repulsive. The leader wants us to be on foot in the neighborhood and is only willing to consider someplace else if we can get there on foot (she doesn't want to deal with driving/parking elsewhere). Please help save us! Any suggestions? Thanks!

There's 25 Degrees across the street at the Roosevelt Hotel. Good, upscale burgers. East a block or two is Loteria Grill, tacos and such (and alcohol for the grown-ups!) Both waaaay better than the Hard Rock!

If it is within whatever budget you might have, Musso & Frank's is close by and is one of Hollywood's oldest restaurants--in its day, lost of famous patrons. Otherwise, Loteria, mentioned by another poster, is a great choice and something more uniquely "L.A." than burgers would be,
