Uncle Boon's brunch

So so so good, but it's gone!!!

I am a little distraught.

What I really liked was that it wasn't just:
normal thai dishes + traditional brunch dishes, with a bit of thai flavor,

They really made an effort to include thai dishes that were really right for brunch as well as creating thoughtful and delicious takes on brunch dishes incorporating incredibly authentic thai flavors…

Any ideas about how I can get them to resurrect it?
I promise to go at least once a month…

Any other suggestions folks for AMAZING, unconventional brunches?

  1. Try Talde or Purple Yam in Brooklyn.

      1. Brunch at Ilili has an interesting mix of dishes- i loved their lebanese pancakes

I've been to Pig & Khao.
It was good, but I guess it's just not the kind of food I personally ever crave.

ilili looks interesting - I'll give it a good - thanks for the recco!

        2. They do an amazing dinner business. I am guessing they got burned out with brunch. I'll miss it too.
Stanton Social does a nice brunch.

          1. Public's brunch menu is interesting.

Serious question though: why even offer brunch if you're not planning on sticking with it? They didn't do it very long, right?

Every new business tries to be innovative. It's the smart entrepreneur who knows when to pull the plug.

I thought they might have canceled it because it wasn't very popular - it was always a little empty the 3 times I went…

If that was the case, I would urge them to give it some more time.

I guess Ill say anything to bring it back. :)

I'd agree with you, except that brunch isn't exactly innovative. ;)
