2 friends and I are coming to montreal from Toronto in May. We will be staying in Old Montreal. APDC is a non-negotiable it seems for the first night. The problem is coming up with someplace for night #2. My first choice restaurants are hotel Herman or Le Filet, but we would really like to be walking distance from the hotel. Also, We would like something that would be a somewhat lighter meal since I suspect APDC will be heavy. Is kitchen Galerie poisson worth it? I should add, would rather not do Au club chasse et peche.

Had a fantastic meal there last summer.

    1. I'm beginning to feel like a caricature of myself, but for lighter options near Old Montreal look into Club Chasse et Peche and Le Serpent (sisters of Le Filet), 400 Coups, and maybe Bremner. Toque is also nearby, but might not be what you're looking for.
