My ice cream flavor...
I just got home from a shopping trip for ice cream ingredients. Blackberry, St Agur, dark chocolate. Any throughts?
One of my favourite Michelin starred chefs, Nigel Haworth, did a cheese ice cream for a TV programme. We ate it at the restaurant. It wasnt regarded as a success on TV, nor did we particularly take to it - but here's the recipe, as posted online by Haworth:
210 ml double cream
210 ml milk
5 egg yolks
90gms caster sugar
150 gms cream cheese
75 gms of grated Lancashire cheese
Make as a normal ice cream recipe and add the grated Lancashire cheese as the ice cream mixture cools down.
