Fun Family place in Omaha?

  • 2

Meeting my sister and 9 year old nephew for a weekend in Omaha with zoo and waterpark. Also have my 1 1/2 year old in tow. Anywhere with FUN ambiance you can recommend? ex. Games at the table, train delivers food etc.

We are looking for the memory/experience with two littles, not necessarily haute cuisine!

Thanks!

  1. When my 11 year old step son is in town there are a few places we like to go. First Zio's in the Old Market (downtown) is a casual pizza place. I really like the pizzas and the last time we were there they gave my son a ball of dough to play with. It kept him entertained for longer than I thought possible. If you need dessert afterward, also in the Old Market, is Ted and Wallys. They serve ice cream and they are located a quick walk from Zio's.
I'm having a total brain fart on other restaurants. We also have a 1 1/2 year old so eating out has taken a backseat for a little bit.
I hope you have fun in Omaha! If I think of any more restaurants I'll let you know!

    1. I definitely second Ted & Wally's for ice cream. I'm having a heck of a time thinking of a real kid-centric restaurant in Omaha besides the Amazing Pizza Machine. If I was down in that area, I might try Jazz if they would eat Cajun. It has a fun Mardi Gras atmosphere, but appropriate.
