I didn't live here then, but was it a Bishop's Buffet?

Does the old Smorgasbord count? I believe that faced White Bear Avenue and was just to the right of the main entrance.

Silly, maybe, but could it be York Steakhouse? They were at Ridgedale Mall at that time--yummy buttered rolls and their baked potatoes were my favorite. Bishop's Buffet had more of a true buffet, with the salads and more meat options than the beef options that seemed to dominate at York Steakhouse. Bishop's at Knollwood was our favorite spot to go with the grandparents--you could choose as much or as little as you wanted. I miss them!

I was very young at the time, so my memory may be off, but I think there was a branch of the Forum Cafeteria at Maplewood Mall at the time.
