Toque closed--L'Expres?

In Montreal over the holidays to celebrate our anniversary, and looking to make one dinner reservation so that i know we'll have one really really great dining experience during our week (the rest of the time it sounds like there are a lot of great eats and we'll take our chances). Toque is closed while we're in town--where should we reserve a table for a reliably great, preferably fish and vegetable centered, French/Contemporary meal in a lovely environment?

  1. I recommend Cube Restaurant and La Chronique. Both of these restaurants are open during the holidays and both are very good.
    Good luck!

          1. I don't know if its open over the holidays, but try Chorus just down the block from Toque. Similar contempory menu and the management(Lilli) is wonderful.
A more traditional bistro, but excellent, is L'Expres, also on St. Denis
