Santa Barbara/Solvang

Hi all, we are going to be in Santa Barbara 3/28 for three nights (Sat, Sun, Mon) We are looking for dinner recommendations for our stay inSB or Montecito. I have booked the Lark for one night, but am open to changing that. We like all food (really, almost without exception); asian, french, 'eclectic' (what does that mean!), so long as it is done well. We are not too price senstive on this trip.
We also were looking for a recommendation in Solvang for lunch as we may drive up there one day.
Thanks very much.

    1. Solvang Santa Ynez Valley for lunch:

Santa Ynez: Dos Carlitos, Vineyard House, SY Kitchen & Panino

Solvang: Succulent Café, Fresco, Alisal River Grill, Solvang Brewing Pub, Panino, Cecco, Birkholms Bakery makes a great sandwich- that you can take over to the Santa Inez Mission grounds- or to the park in the middle of town.

Los Olivos: Petros, Los Olivos Café, Sides H & S, Panino, Tri-Tip sandwich at R Country Store

      Buellton: Industrial Eats

SUNDAY ONLY- Trip Tip sandwich at Cold Spring Tavern, top of Hwy 154.

Solvang will be very busy that weekend, as there is the Garagiste Festival going on- its a gathering of a great amount of garage style/less than 1,000 case production

      1. Sama Sama kitchen on State st. Delicious Indonesian small plates with California farm fresh influence. Great cocktails. The lark is good, the whole funk zone area is fun to explore.

TOMA on Cabrillo Blvd and the new chef at the Hotel Indigo on Lower State seem to be getting good reviews down in the Funk Zone area, and beachside too. Always the good old reliable Stella Mares at the Bird Refuge down that way too.

        2. I liked the Firestone-Walker pub and brewery in Buellton where you turn off to Solvang from 101. Cold Springs Tavern is always a worthy pick for a lunch stop on your way to Solvang via Highway 246, where you need to drive in full alert mode.
