Breakfast for 16 after arriving at LAX on a red-eye?

Just spoke with a friend who asked for a breakfast rec for Saturday morning after arriving on a red-eye flight from Hawaii. He will be travelling here for a conference in Long Beach with a group of 16. He mentioned Denny's and I said no, no, no there must be a restaurant that accommodate a large group such as theirs AND have decent food. They will be tired and don't want anything fancy, but want something tasty and efficient that can accommodate their large group, so I am putting it out there for my fellow chowhounder's...please give me some breakfast ideas. Thanks!

Or grab a few donuts from Kinleys before 7.

randy's for me...i like the one with the coffee cake crumble stuff on top

            1. re: jessejames

              randy's is way too commercialized.

but if you ever get to 100th and normandie try out Kindles

              too.

not sure but i like the giant donut, their main commercial....any donut shop popular with the kids is popular with dad

will def check out kindles...not afraid of the hood!

the OG version of Randy's on Manchester.

                  that would be kindle's.

If the flight lands at 6a... but the time the plane taxis to its gate. By the time the plane unloads. By the time they all get their baggage from bagage check. By the time they pile into their van. Panns will be open....

if it's a weekend party of 16 might be tough at Original House of Pancakes, but i do love it so...

I agree, and that's a big part of why I asked for suggestions. Thanks!

I'm thinking moon over my hammy isn't that bad an option for 16

                    2. since they will be heading south, how about The Kettle in manhattan beach?
                      it is open 24 hours.

I prefer Eat at Joe's in Redondo, although the 16 would be a challenge.

                        1. re: moreplease

Yes, that's part of my challenge here...the group of 16. I love Joe's too. Thanks, though!

                        2. re: westsidegal

Yes, I thought of the Kettle too, but they will have three mini vans and you know how parking is in Manhattan Beach.

dunno how difficult the parking would be at ~7am.
need a local surfer to pipe up here.
