Need lunch, breakfast, and bar recs for Baltimore

  • 4

Will be in Baltimore for a conference, and have already made dinner reservations at Fleet Street Kitchen, Woodberry Kitchen, Charleston, And Ouzo Bay. Would like to know some good places for breakfast and lunch in addition to some good watering holes fairly close to the Inner Harbor area. Have heard that Thames Street Oyster House is good, and that Rye does a good job with artisanal cocktails. Am also wondering about the markets like Lexington for breakfast or lunch. Would appreciate any help.

  1. Bar at B&O. Great cocktail program.
Bar at Cinghiale. Big selection half and full pours of wine. Good snacks.

    1. Thames Street Oyster House is excellent, especially if you like oysters on the half shell.

      1. Lunch downtown: cafe Piedigrotta, Isabella Brick Oven Pizza, Trinacria - all for Italian. Lexington Market for raw bar and crab cakes at Faidleys, sandwiches at Mary Mervis (rare roast beef) and Krauses ( turkey).

        1. The Helmand on N.Charles St is one of my favs. Intimate, reasonably priced, and delicious. Thames Street Oyster House is another good choice, although reservations can be hard to get.
