Hi foodies!

My husband and I will be spending almost a week there for a conference at the end of April (maybe we'll see mrgale79?). We will also be staying at the Westin near the convention center. We are originally from the NYC area but have been living in Dallas for the past year or so. I tried going back through the threads to find what I wanted before mindlessly starting a new post, but all of them have certain requirements... sorry! So here goes... We are looking for:

1. a few reco's on THE BEST dinner in SF- whatever the cost, whatever the dress, whatever type of menu (will eat anything), whatever the location (we won't have a car but will find transportation somehow for good food!)

2. a few of your absolute favorite places to have lunch (fancy, not fancy- just good food!)

3. a few places that are not so pricey, neighborhood favorites where we'll eat for the rest of the nights

I will report back if needed/wanted!

THANKS!

Saison. It costs the most, ergo is the best.

"2. a few of your absolute favorite places to have lunch (fancy, not fancy- just good food!)"

La Torta Gorda, Hog Island Oyster Co. Namu Gaji, Nopalito, Mission Chinese, La Taqueria.

"3. a few places that are not so pricey, neighborhood favorites where we'll eat for the rest of the nights"

NOPA, Frances, Bar Tartine, Cotogna, Kokkari Estiatorio, State Bird Provisions.

Sebo is now closed, though Michael Black is doing his pop-up izakaya at Local's Corner.
