saturday lunch near metropolitan hotel

  • 9

Looking for recs for a Saturday lunch near metropolitan hotel which is 18th between 6th and 7th. One person I am going with does not like to walk much, so it needs to be nearby or small taxi ride away. Any type of cuisine would be fine. Thanks for the suggestions

  1. Budget per person before tax, tip, alcohol?

    Party size?

Many places will be doing Saturday brunch not lunch. Do you specifically want to avoid breakfast foods?

Also is making a reservation preferable/required, or are you willing to wait for a table?

    1. no alcohol, am going to trade show at the hotel with 3 women I do not know well, I would guess a budget of 25 dollars per person, maybe 30? no clue. Brunch is also fine. Would not make a reservation because don't know how long we would be at show. One women has diabetes

Wait, you mean the Metropolitan Pavilion. Not a hotel.

Are you explicitly looking for healthy options nearby?

Westville is healthy but usually busy.

not explicity looking for healthy, just something good, reliable, place to sit down with a bathroom, yes, sorry thought it was a hotel

      2. I used to work in the area and often went to Tbsp for lunch, its a farm to table cafe and the few times i went by weekends it was never very crowded.

is this a sit down place with bathrooms?

all NYC eating places MUST have a restroom...the law.

            even a McDonalds!

Food establishments with 19 or fewer customer seats are not required to provide bathroom access to the public.

Yes, and yes. Their yelp has a few pics of the interior (and lots of photos of the food, which can be as healthy-or not- as you want)
