TBD - any good?

I am thinking of TBD restaurant for an anniversary dinner? Is the food any good? We have only been to AQ once. I thought it was good not great and my husband liked it more than me.

  1. I have no experience with TBD, but in my general experience, cuisines bear certain general resemblances at restaurants run by the same people. So you'll most likely feel the same way about TBD as you did about AQ.

Why not go somewhere where you're more in love with the way the chefs do things?

    1. TBD is noisy and smoky with some very good dishes and some not so good. Go there for a fun, informal evening, not an anniversary dinner.

      1. The tables are very cool with drawers that hold your utensils. Food is hit or miss (I liked the clams, trout on rye waffle, pork chop). One downside is that they don't have a full bar. I think it's a good date place but maybe not for an occasion as special as an anniversary dinner.

        1. I thought it was great, but I pretty much always prefer places where they cook with wood. Another plus is that they don't have a full bar.
