Bridal shower

Looking for a place to hold a small bridal shower in June in DC. a place not too expensive.

  1. How many people? Does location matter? Is this a day time affair or night time? Can you give us a little more info on price range?

    1. I won't respond this time as I'm feeling cranky and there is no information offered in the query other than June and DC.

toss us a bone and we will fall on your feet with ideas and thoughts like a faithful dog, honest.

frilly? steampunk? high tea? down and dirty? strippers? string quartet? gotta give us a few clues, please.

Please tell us it's a frilly shower with strippers and a string quartet.

oooh, now that sounds like a shower for all, Vivaldi or Bach and skins, guys and gals. too bad the places down in SE were dozed for the stadium...

Some of them are still alive and kicking if you look hard enough...but I wouldn't trust any of the food they are serving.

      2. Sorry, yes you need more info. about 25 people girls only, either breakfast/brunch or lunch. trying to keep it under $2,000 in DC. Looking for a classy but not frilly venue. No strippers or string quartet. Social Reform was suggested.

spoil sport. ok no strippers. how do you feel about drag queens?

DC does Lunch better than Breakfast. hmmm. so about $80 pp after tip and tax? not too shabby. not shabby at all.

I still love Central, but the private room (OK area really) I think only seats about 18. but it's fun, casual and classy, not sure if they do lunch on the weekend.

Urbana has a nice brunch and private room. In addition they have a make your own mimosa bar which could be fun.

Also Cafe Dupont has private rooms. I attended a birthday party there for brunch and they worked with our budget and created pre-fixe menu for our guests to choose from.
