Radhe Chaat in Santa Clara

Melanie Wong Mar 11, 2014 10:58 AM

Driving down El Camino Real on Saturday night, I noticed a line of folks waiting outside Radhe Chaat, just a little bit east of Lawrence. The online menu includes Indo Chinese, Gujarati and Maharashtrian dishes in addition to Mumbai style chaat. I was on my way to dinner elsewhere or I would have stopped to check it out.

Who can tell us about it?

Highly recommended. Pretty much everything I have tried on the menu tastes good. They have been open for about a year and have hit their stride. I usually get takeout from here once a week.

Dal fry, saag paneer, aloo gobi, but they make it without the potatoes for me. Sometimes I have the thali when eating in. The bhel is uplifting.

Thanks, there's so much Indian food in the South Bay to explore.

Any other places in your regular rotation to recommend?

It really depends on what I wan to eat.
My neighborhood is Santa Clara Lawrence and El Camino.. There really is a lot of good Indian food here.
For chaat and vegetable dishes I also go to Chaat Bhavan. They are very similar in quality and menu as Radhe Chaat.
For lunch buffets I go to Taste Buds or if I want to concentrate on the tandori chicken,Kabab and Curry's.
I go to Real Ice Cream - Bangalore Cafe for pongol, idlis, and dosas.
I like the biriyani at Peacock.
