Bridal Shower Ideas for New Haven Area?

I am planning a bridal shower for my sister in the August/September time frame and I am not familiar with the area at all. It would be for 30-40 guests, and I would like to keep it under $35/pp not including alcohol. Great food is of primary importance, but would also be interested in places with great locations, views, atmosphere, etc. Thanks for your help!

      1. I don't know if you need a private room or type of food. For elegance and views there's Roia, Heirloom, John Davenports, Union League or Jonh Davenports at the Omni Hotel. Lenny & Joes or Sage American for water views, or venture out to the Madison Beach Hotel, or go closer to NYC and look into places in Milford (Jeffreys or Rainbow Gardens are both great bridal shower choices.) Back in NH-- Adriana's has a private room, 116 Crown and Barcelona are fun. L'Orico is very nice, with a garden and an upstairs space. Perhaps you should contact INFO NEW HAVE for ideas. 1. I agree with ceegee's suggestions, and would add that Anthony's Ocean View and Amarantes are right on the water overlooking NH harbor-really can't beat the view. They might be listed as in East Haven, but they are just on the border with New Haven. I have been to many showers and other events there and they do a nice job. Not sure how much they are, though.

          1. Any place on the water will be pricier than off the water. Anthony's and Amarante's, since they both do weddings that are over $100/pp, will be over the $35/pp range.
