thoughts on lunch at Akrame ?

Anyone tried the basic 45e lunch ? Maybe other 1-2 stars lunch options to consider in the same "spirit" in places that you think that are nicer, around the same point mark for lunch ? Thanks :-)

  1. I like Akrame but I prefer his Atelier Vivanda, across the street.

    1. Is it now 45?; it was 35 when last I went. And I agree with Pti, in my book Akrame was 6.1 and the Atelier Vivanda a 6.8 but it's more meat and potatoes than the former.

      1. My office is a few minutes away. I do like Akrame for the inventiveness and creativity... but not for lunch. By the time I get back to the office, I'm hungry again. 3 courses but nothing substantial and indeed I feel the 45€ tag for the food + another 25€ for the extras is just not worth it. Although it doesn't have the artsy presentation or cutting edge cuisine, the satellite Atelier Vivanda (as suggested by JT and Ptipois) is indeed a better choice for lunch.

For creative cuisine in the same general area, I much prefer the 42 € lunch at Caius on the rue d'Armaillé in the 17th, or, if you insist on a Michelin star, Les Tablettes de Jean-Louis Nomicos on the ave Bugeaud in the 16th for a 58 € lunch menu that includes wine, water and coffee.
