Hunting For Instant Noodles In Richmond, BC

So I run The Ramen Rater blog and review instant noodles. I'm going up to Richmond BC for my birthday and hoping to ger a ton of new varieties for reviewing. Anybody got some ideas for good stores to check out? I've been to Osaka in Yaohan Plaza as well as PriceSmartFoods. Thanks for your help!

It's right next door to Yoahan in fact I've parked in the Yaohan lot and walked to T&T a number of times.

I've been in Kuohua but since I wasn't looking for dried noodles never noticed any it's always worth a stop though-their website is fried from what I can see.

Does anyone know if Big Crazy is still in business?

Been by there on the Canada Line but never noticed

BTW, you mentioned going to 99 Ranch in Edmonds in your blog. It's essentially the same T&T we have here, so don't bother as I doubt you'll find anything new there you haven't seen at 99 Ranch:

Actually, the last time I went to T&T I found $400 worth of instants I hadn't ever seen at T&T. There's different varieties up there we can't get here and vice versa.

That's a lot of noodles. What does CBP say when you drive through ?? :-D

      2. Fun project. So all ramen you rate are packaged, instant ones ?

        A few other options:

H-MART (Korean supermarket) - Aberdeen Mall, SE corner of Cambie Rd and #3 Rd

FUJIYA (Japanese store) - Bridgeport Rd just east of St. Edwards Dr (in strip mall where The Brick furniture store is)

BIG CRAZY (Taiwanese variety store) - #3 Rd, between Memory Express computer store and Petcetera

KUO HUA TRADING CO (Taiwanese variety store) - #3 Rd. just north of Real Canadian Superstore and PJ's Pets supplies store.

After these, you should have sufficiently OD'd on ramen.

Hahahaha thanks! Actually a South Korean newspaper called me 'The God Of Ramen' in a headline - was a pretty cool thing even though I couldn't read it lol

To answer my own question Yes Big Crazy is still in business but their formerly 'big' & 'crazy' sign has been much reduced in size/changed colour to a less crazy more corporate hue.

Time has a way of changing things....

Esp. when Google Maps does it. Now this is kinda fun, if in a Twilight Zone kind of way. Starting from here:

Keep your eyes on Big Crazy and Morgan Furniture. Then click once on the left arrow on the pavement (bringing you southbound on #3 Rd). Click another once or twice and watch what happens to Morgan, Big Crazy and Sport Mart .........

          2. This is amazing! Now I must bookmark your blog and systematically eat my way through your lists!
