Guys

In the winter, is there any Rockaways restaurant by the water that's open for lunch where you get a water view?

Thx

I thought this was a pretty interesting article. Pizza looks good though! It's a block from the water.

The whole idea of the original post was about dining near the water. I just read the article you cited. It made me NEVER want to go to that place.

I live in Bensonhurst. I have more than enough great pizza options to choose from.

What are your great pizza options in Bensonhurst? I know you are not a L&B partisan.

I like J&V on 18th Avenue & 64th Street for their pepperoni pie (very flavorful). I also like Italia on Kings Highway & West 6th Street for their great crust. Their sausage and mushroom pie is great. As well, I much prefer their Sicilian square pie to L&B. I do, however, love L&B's spumoni. One other thing: I was raised in New Haven directly across the street from Pepe's, so I know what good pizza is (or was). Sadly, Pepe's is a shadow of its former self since Mrs. Pepe died in the 80's. Although there is a descendent in charge, she is too young to have experienced the place in its heyday and has cheapened the ingredients.

Also, why can't i find this pizza place on yelp? Isn't it called Whitney Aycock's Rockaway Beach pizza shop

Can someone check if you see it and paste a link?

          Thx
