Best Roast in East London (NOT Central)

Can anyone recommend a Sunday roast in east London? I live In Wanstead and want to take some people somewhere reasonably local, ideally on the Central Line. So I'm thinking Leytonstone, Wanstead, South Woodford, Woodford, Redbridge, Gants Hill, Buckhurst Hill, Loughton, Chigwell.

  1. O'Grady's in Seven Kings does a good carvery - but the pork is by far the best cut of meat. Massive Yorkshires.

A side note: the stew there is amazing, generally the main dishes are pretty authentic traditional Irish.

Otherwise try Bethnal Green/Hackney area as I think you will find some decent roasts there too.

    1. The Princess in Shoreditch is good but might be too central for you!

      1. Try the Duke in your area
or the Forest Tavern in Forest Gate
