just want to plug han yang again for yakiniku
had mom's bd dinner here tonight.
$19.99 + 15% gratuity (down from $27.99) for ayce yakiniku. comes with unlimited banchan, sauces, lettuce, garlic, lettuce salad, rice, and a bowl of miso or seaweed soup.
they offer tongue, pork belly, thinly sliced brisket, kalbi short rib no bones, salted short rib no bones, garlic or salt flap steak, garlic or salt kobe style beef, and quite a few other cuts of beef. 4 types of meat at a time.
best deal in town with the most options. each time i eat there i have a blast and get pleasantly full.
their regular menu is pretty good too, but the original owners' (two or three owners ago) kalbi cannot be beat. david's (newest owner) yakiniku cna't be beat, though.
lmk if anyone tries this place, i want to get their opinion.
it's in the kalihi lot with old saimin house, new diners drive in, kikuya, just west of the post office on king st before waiakamilo.
a lot of people on yelp say the area is sketchy, but i think it's fine. another fave, palace saimin is across the post office and people feel safe there...
it can be crowded for the yakiniku tables at dinner since the price dropped.
i can't believe people are still eating at camillia.
