1 Portland, 2 Willamette (solo)

Howdy PDXers,

Will be in Portland nest week for 1 night and 2 in the Willamette on business. It's been a few years since I've been to both. I've search the boards, but I can's seem to find any recs on solo dining in both places. Would really appreciate some recs for solo dining in both (bar preferred but not a must). Am up for anything just as long as it has a local vibe and great food (upscale or more casual is fine). I may tend to more of a beer related place in PDX, since I will have my fill of wine in the Willamette. Appreciate and suggestions and will certainly report back.

  1. What does "Willamette" mean? Willamette Valley is around 5000 square miles.

Opps sorry. Correct. I mean Willamette Valley...Specifically Dundee as I'm staying at the Inn at Red Hills. I will have a car and will be visiting the surrounding AVS, so flexible. More interested in solo dining in the valley as I've only had lunch at Ponzi.

    2. Kame Chan Japanese in McMinnville. Joel Palmer House in Dayton.

      1. You might like eating at the bar at Thistle in McMinnville or at Jory (also the bar) at The Allison Hotel in Newberg.

        1. In PDX consider Higgins, Le Pigeon, Little Bird.

          1. Thanks for he suggestions. Just what I needed. Will report back.
