Hi- I am aspiring home cook and am need of a knife skills class. My husband says one day I am really going to chop off a finger. Any recommendations? We live in Kendall/Pinecrest area but, would be willing to travel for the right class. And of course to save the eventual ER visit! :0) Thanks in advance!

There are a lot of very good YouTube vids on knife skills to get you started. You may not even need the class with enough practice. And curl those fingers to keep from chopping them off

Thanks that's a great idea. I will check that out. I found a class at sur la table in Boca. Not sure if its worth the drive. Thanks again

Make sure your knife is sharp too. Most things you don't need a lot of force, just a sharp knife, so invest in a knife sharpener, and honer.

Publix has an Aprons school where I took a knife skills class. It was very good - I think the closest to you is Plantation but if you do a search you will see if one is close to you.
