My definitive food and drink crawl...

kevin Mar 7, 2014 04:58 PM

Yes, start with the slut. Because that's the best to start one's day. Followed by a demitasse of espresso and a cappachino from g and b.

Grab an arthur's OJ.

Then Musso's for flannel cakes, french fries with bernaise, and a diplomat pudding with strawberries washed down with three martinis. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Then a quick bowl of Dan Dan noodles at the Ho, Dai Ho to be exact and a diet coke and a couple beers afterward from the Stuffed Sandwich to pay my respects, and then a whole crab and abalone in oyster sauce and an oyster omlette and dried fish with sea cucumbers from the village in temple city.

Next on to Sushi Zo DTLA for a few blue crab hand rolls, a tuna sashimi, a few pieces of uni, and about a dozen yuzu shooters.

Then off to Kiriko for the entire pan of My tamagoyaki, and a scoop of black truffle ice cream and white truffle ice cream for the proverbial play on a black-and-white cookie.

Then off to Orleans and York for a catfish po boy doused with that excessively buttery red rooster type sauce because it's already afternoon by now.

Then off to Pann's for a waffle and some soft scrambled eggs as well as their yellow cake liberally frosted with chocolate buttercream.

Then off to Deux for a flat white, or cappachino, with a bowl of strawberries/blueberries,

Then take a break and pause with a bottle of water, and somewhere to relax for a moment.

Then off to Urasawa for dinner because I've never been before.

And then finish off with a salad, a plate of fries, and an eggplant parmigiano followed by a copious number of martinis at Dan Tana's and then an espresso and a bite of a chocolate cheesecake.

And then ……..

A post-prandial….

    That. Sounds. Awesome.......

When you make your millions and embark on this tour, remember to call an old drinking friend.....the one who likes vodka in her martinis.....with extra olives, of course.....

      Gin always gin.

      I guess I'm a dying breed. :(

        EMT straight to Cedars Sinai.

The best only for the best.

Just the most expensive... Not necessarily the best.

            Some of it.

Actually the majority of it is pretty cheap by relatively restaurant terms.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i think J.L. was actually referring to Cedars.... And I would agree.

I'm surprised that nobody has commented on the huge amount of food supposedly consumed over a period of several hours. Chocolate cheesecake wedged in at the end? Wow, a good way to ruin a cheesecake experience...

I was assuming kevin was going to collapse or vomit prior to finishing the excursion.... Maybe he can request tasting menu portions at each place. ;)

Put down some of the best.

                My bad. :)
