Grand Szechuan Plymouth is toast

ARGHHH went for lunch today at 187 Cheshire Ln, Plymouth and it was not there. Oh the pain of losing the only decent Chinese food in the region. I am lost. Supposedly an Indian joint will be opening in it's place, but this offers little solace.

  1. How about Tea House? I haven't been there in a while, but I've enjoyed it in the past.

    1. Luckily we still have the Bloomington location which vies for best sichuan in MSP with szechuan spice.

+1. I give Szechuan Spice the nod for pure authenticity, but they're both excellent.

The salient point about Grand Szechuan in Plymouth was its proximity to my office, and delicious and cheap Chinese food. Tea house is farther away, but it might be worth a try.

            OK went to Tea House.
There was a buffet going on for lunch. I would say it was good and greasy. Not as good as the late Grand Szechuan but not bad. Lots of neat stuff on the menu, but looks hellish expensive. Not bad.

        2. Tea House does use a lot of chili oil - no doubt.
