Myrtle Beach Happy Hour
Hi I'm heading to NMB this summer and I was wondering where do you think has a great happy hour with a view? Also, has anyone driven down rte 301 to avoid the Balt/DC/NVa traffic, if so how was the drive and how much longer was it?
We're back and forth from SC to NYC several times a year. I started taking the 301 alternate a couple of years ago. I think it's quicker, but it really depends on what time you hit the beltway. The stretch from Baltimore to Fredericksburg is crappy from about 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. 301 has a bunch of strip malls/traffic lights, but it at least moves.
If you get there late at night (after 8:00) or around midday, I'd stay on 95. Rush hour times, take 301.
Just a quick request that people focus on the food portion of this question, rather than the driving bit. Thanks!
