Szechuan gourmet has opened a new outpost on 105th & Broadway , 239 W105th St. This afternoon was the good luck Lion Dance.
10% off on takeout for grand Opening. Hope they are better than the nearby Legend.

I could use some good Sichuan places in Brooklyn too. NYCs most populous borough has exactly 2 good ones. It's ridiculous.

      BTW, Cool avatar.

Ah but Brooklyn has a wealth of other good chow. Manhattan is desert like in interesting stuff uptown. I miss Queens.

That's the way it always is. You bitch about the things you don't have while ignoring the good things that you do.

One of the great things about Manhattan has been the explosion of good Sichuan restaurants from midtown and further south. You don't have to head to Flushing (although there are still good places out there.)

Good luck with the new SG.

Bob: I would love to hear your 2 best Bklyn joints. I know one is in Bay Ridge, what about the other?

How about one in Staten Island. Just one is all I'm asking
I'll trade 3 Sri Lankans for one Szechuan

I lived on SI for 6 years. It felt much longer. Pleasant neighborhoods, nice people, lackluster food.

SI suffers from the suburban disease. Relatively high income levels somehow fail to produce correspondingly good restaurants.

We should talk about this on the General Topics board.

15 years and counting. It may be a culinary dump pun intended, but its the only culinary dump I rather live in. Well you know what I mean
