I spent five days in early June in the beautiful city of Montreal. My nightly dining experiences were so memorable I felt the need to pass them on.
Restaurants I recommend-
Le P'tit Plateau
Located a few blocks off of rue St. Denis.
Perfectly prepared french bistro food. Bring your own wine.

La Chronique-
Very Expensive yet worth every penny!!!!
Reminded me of my dinner at the French Laundry in Yountville, California. Attention to detail, amazing service and incredible food.

Ferreira Cafe Trattoria - Portuguese
Wonderful seafood selections on the menu.
Wine list is worth the trip alone.
Beautiful, hip bar/restaurant located downtown.

Globe-
Talk about big portions, I couldn't finish my starter much less my dinner. The food is prepared with a whimsical flair. I wasn't crazy about the dining room due to the noise level but the food made up for it.

I'm planning a trip again in September. I would love some recommendations!

I have been in Montreal temporarily for a little while. Although a bit of an odd collection, I have become a fan of the following restaurants:

TOUCHEH - in Westmount, one block south of sherbrooke near Prince Albert. The owners are incredibly nice, & accomodating, & I have never had a bad meal ever.

ISAKAYA - Rue DuParc, one block north of Sherbrooke, Japanese food.

L'AVENUE - great breakfast!! On Mont-Royal St. 2 blocks east of St. Hubert.
