Los Angeles sushi

We are headed to LA and looking to book 3 or 4 great sushi meals. We are crazy sushi snobs---live in NYC but our favorite spots are in Tokyo. ...we have heard sushi zo is great....nozawa..... Heard urasawa is overpriced (like masa in NYC) and not worth it. Any ideas??

        Thanks, maxcatsilver.

We just went throught this topic last month.

      2. Post where you are staying and how far you're willing to travel (if you will have a car too,) and I am sure you will get lots of opinions.
        Nozawa is gone BTW.

Mori Sushi is likely the most "pure" in the vicinity of the Beverly Wilshire. 11500 W Pico Blvd

Zo is something else, still quite good and very high quality but a little more embellishment.

I'm not sure where you heard Urasawa isn't worth it, I have universally read that it is which is surprising considering the price point. You might find Urasawa worth it, but may not be willing to spend that kind of money.

Downtown is Q Sushi, which also will fit the bill for a purist experience.
