Help requested for Grand Prix [this] weekend dining...
- David Russell
We already have reservations at Toqué, La Chronique, Cube, and may go to L'Express for lunch one day (have been everywhere but Cube already). Tomorrow night is still open, however. Any suggestions? Maybe something not quite so utterly "gastronomique" as Toqué, et al. We liked Au Monde Sauté a year or two ago. Any ideas for something like that, i.e., fusion-y, "world food-y"? Also totally open to Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, etc. Thanks in advance.
If you're up for upscale Mexican, try Fandango on the plateau (on St-andre at the corner of Roy). I discovered it about 3 weeks ago and already I've been back twice. The food is true regional mexican unlike the many tex-mex places around town. Service is first rate and the margarita especial is simply perfect
