Restaurants recs for Mobile, AL
I'm going to Mobile for business and looking for some recommendations for good restaurants.
Can't speak for downtown Mobile but if you go east across the bay on hwy 98 all of the seafood places are good. IMO Ed's Seafood has the best fried shrimp in the area and is only 4-5 miles from downtown. Felix's is good (rec the bbq shrimp) and so is The Bluegill. Original Oyster House & Tacky Jacks are fair but not as good as Ed's & Felix's. All of them are on the old causeway crossing the bay and offer great views. If you have any free time go across the bay and south about 10 miles to Downtown Fairhope. Panini Pete's is a good lunch spot that's been on Diners, Drive-in and Dives. Also take the scenic route of hwy 98 from Fairhope to Point Clear
Brick Pit has some of my favorite barbecue in Alabama. It's a great place with a terrific, and very friendly owner.
