Peppadew peppers

Has anyone seen peppadew peppers readily available in San Diego? I would love to find them easily at somewhere like Vons or Trader Joes, but am willing to drive around. Doesn't have to be this brand, it's just an example. TIA

  1. Whole Foods sells them by weight in their "olive bar" section.

Thanks! I will try that, but I would also like to find them jarred too.

I'm pretty sure both Whole Foods and places like Bristol Farms or Jimbo will have them jarred.

The various markets in Little Italy (e.g. Mona Lisa) will probably also carry them jarred, but I'm not sure how convenient Little Italy is to you.

The better stocked Vons or Ralphs (i.e. "Fresh Fare Ralphs") will also have them most likely. Call ahead.

"Fresh Fare" ....gosh, that makes me wanna Ralph.

    2. Thanks everyone, I checked my local Vons/Albertsons with no luck, so I will call Hillcrest Whole Foods and stop by there tomorrow. I live in Tierrasanta, so I just wanted the most convenient place.

Call Specialty Produce and see if they have it jarred or canned. The downside is that if they do, they might come in a gallon jar or #10 can

      2. Vennissimo Cheese may still sell them, stuffed with goat cheese. Yummm

They do! That's exactly what I want to do with them at home!

        2. Just in case anyone is looking, I did find them in the olive bar section at a big Vons near me. Those bars make me worry about sanitary issues, though. I mean, who knows how long they have been sitting there! Still no luck finding jarred ones.

          1. Brothers Provisions in RB sells them in a jar. They also have them behind the counter stuffed with goat cheese. Amazing!
