What is the deal with the Beaver Club? Is it truly exceptional, or is it a tourist trap? As a side note: my idea of a tourist trap is Tavern on the Green in NYC.
I had the same fear, but we ate there last August and it was really wonderful. Service was great, very professional but not intrusive. Food was exceptional - nothing precious, just deliciously prepared meats, fish. I'd happily go again.
