  • 8

Just moved to a new office on Lafayette, just off Astor Place. Suggestions for good takeout lunch, dine in, after work drinks, etc??? Much appreciated!

  1. I would probably pick NoHo Star, it's been around a long time, mostly because the food is good. They also recognize the neighborhood as being called NoHo. Personally, I consider it the EV. Your one block from St Marks Pl which everyone considers EV. Anyway, I also recommend Indochine for dinner or drinks. Bondst if it is still around.
2 blocks away is Ippudo for a ramen lunch.
Village Yokocho for Japanese dishes like yakitori, Five Points is good for $1 oysters and drinks, the food is pretty good too.

Thank you! I actually walked over to st. Marks yesterday and picked up some Korean!

Hi- I'm looking for a wide range of stuff, since I'll be there every day. Most importantly, though, are some good, inexpensive (<$10) lunch takeout options - thanks

      2. Gyu Kaku at Cooper Square has happy hour everyday! Nice staff.

        1. Most of my suggestions are south but walkable - Taim, Parm, Mile End.

There are a bunch of chains on 8th street between Broadway and University (Chipotle, Just Salad, Maoz, etc.) for easy pick up.

A bit east - Otto's Tacos, Caracas, Tacos Morelos, etc.

Otto's Tacos is really good. Definitely recommend it for an easy, cheap lunch.

          2. You're not far from Otto for after work drinks

If you have enough time to go, the $12 pizza and salad lunch at Motorino is a great deal and generous size.
